:shocked!: Wow, that is insane. I wonder how long it took to make that. Is there some sort of program that can generate them ... no I don't see how that would be possible.
He has some other very cool stuff on his site, including another Matrix movie.

Yeah I am thinking that there must be some kind of program that can convert a movie into some kind of ascill javascript program. That would be practically impossible to code all by hand.

I use to have a program to convert .gif's to .txt in ASCII format. If you just take multiple screenshots of the movie peice by peice, should be only a days work. Anyway, theres a load more of them that I found at: http://www.romanm.ch/ascii-movies.htm

Ok, I know I am all late and stuff, but WOW, that stuff is amazing. I didn't even know that kind of thing existed.

Quite an interesting way to get it to work too (hiding and showing div tags)

A friend of mine sent me a program that automatically creates an ascii image out of a .jpg or .gif image. So I wonder if this guy did that frame by frame, or if there is another program that has the ability to convert a certain movie file type to an ascii movie.
