im in the US but if 50pounds is the same as $50 here you wouldn't have much of a selection. You need like twice that for anything decent

a pound is something like 2 dollars... thats my general rule of thumb... so 50 pounds is around $100...

Yeah, even then you cant get a really good one for that much. I would check ebay. They have a large selection. Heres a link for the MP3 search I did there.

I don't have any portable mp3 player devices...but I will tell you what I do have for those kinds of situations. I have a cd player that plays mp3 format. My entire cd collection is on 20 discs. The player cost me like 25 dollars, and I have had it for about a year. It even displays id3 tags.....If you are not going to be using it for jogging or anything and have a tight budget, I would recommend going this route

I got my Ipod for $100 off ebay :D . She plays like a dream

//I use an attatchment to record instrumental music, just for listening to songs I would recommend going with a CD player.

Quite a few of them do, and they are quite cheap...

However, i'd be better just getting an WMA to MP3 converter rather than supporting MS's money making rubbish :)

the reason it has to have WMA playback is that I have purchased like 20 songs from
http://bigpondmusic.com/

Now I know WMA is just money making rubbish from *plum* but I don't think there are any WMA -> MP3 converters out there that will convert files encrypted with DRM. If there is one, I would like to know where to get it.
