In the best interest of remaining mature, I'm going to refrain from responding to that.

HAHAHHAHHAHAHAHHAA :D

Although he's really just being mean. Why not teach her how to use it properly instead?

I wanted to teach my husband how to handle guns but he thinks I'm a horrible person to be shooting them to begin with so that plan kinda fell through............

I've had some shooting lessons before, major fun ... we started with a .22 ... and then a 9mm, then a magnum (or something very similar) and then a shotgun ... man I tell you, if you don't hold the shotgun very tightly against your shoulder you're going to be very sorry ...

I fired five rounds out of a .45 magnum once and my hand hurt for days afterwards... that thing kicks like an animal. Got decent results with it though.

Same with a .50 cal black powder rifle. The first one I shot was an old flint lock style, and there is a bit of a delay between when you squeeze the trigger and when it actually fires, and I wasn't expecting that so I kind of losened up when it didn't bang and that hurt!

I want to shoot with that .50 cal that Rambo fired in the newest addition to the Rambo series ... he shot a guy that he flew like a power puff girl across the screen, obviously it isn't that bad, but that thing packs one helluva punch ...

didn't the mythbusters do something about people being thrown back by the force of bullets, and show it was complete myth? I'm afraid if it isn't a bazooka or something you just get hit, bleed and slump straight down....

Those are a different .50 that what I shoot though. My .50 caliber bullet doesn't have nearly the same mass or velocity as a .50 BMG. And actually my rifle is a .50 cal, but I shoot a .45 bullet with a sabot.

//off topic - but I just saw your location tag.... do you know that Alaska is the one US state with lowest levels of medication? I.e. the people who live there are healthiest, and need the least amount of medical treatment, out of the whole US...........

I had an uncle who spent 7 years living in Alaska, swears it was the best period of his life. Consider moving? ;D

Yeah I wouldn't hesitate moving there, but I would have to have a job lined up before hand and would need to find a place to live and everything. Thats a long way away to go back and forth doing interviews and apartment shopping and stuff.
