Shoppers continued to hit the Net as the holiday shopping season headed into the final lap, spending $11.35 billion between Nov. 1 and last week.

That number--an increase of about 40 percent from the same period last year--comes from shopping comparison site BizRate, which surveys consumers as they finish making purchases. BizRate has about 2,000 stores in its database."

I didn't realize that online shopping increased by 40% this last year! Thats pretty descent, maybe that is a sign the economy is getting better, or maybe just the internet economy

well i think more and more people are starting to trust ecommerce. And also, that number should increase every year as the next generation rolls in and starts getting those credit cards.

I wish I owned a credit card company

I buy more things online than I used to. But I'm too pushed for time to go to shopping centres to buy what I want anyways so its more convenient :D

A salseman once showd that figure to me and told me that if I just pay hil $2,000/year, he'll direct a good chunk of that $11.35 billion over my way. *yeah right* As if he own all of that $11.35 billion.
