Just thought this would be interesting

Quote:
This year's run away winner was Mr. Merv Grazinski of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mr. Grazinski purchased a brand new 32-foot Winnebago motor home. On his first trip home, (from an OU football game), having driven onto the freeway, he set the cruise control at 70 mph and calmly left the drivers seat to go into the back and make himself a cup of coffee. Not surprisingly, the R. V. left the freeway, crashed and overturned. Mr. Grazinski sued Winnebago for not advising him in the owner's manual that he couldn't actually do this. The jury awarded him $1,750,000 plus a new motor home. The company actually changed their manuals on the basis of this suit, just in case there were any other complete morons buying recreation vehicles.

Simply incredible, more over here

One of my favorites goes like this --

A burglar trying to come in through a skylight over a kitchen falls through
and cuts his leg wide open with a knife that was left out on the counter.
He was caught and arrested, but counter-sued for neglegence and won!

only in america huh? :P

Suing McDonalds because eating their burgers makes them fat, and win the case, that's the weird thing about it.

They won that case? I heard there was a case like that awhile back, but I never heard anymore about it.

ever wonder why most coffe cups say "CAUTION: CONTENTS ARE HOT?"

Because some moron spilled their coffee from McDonald's drive thru in
their lap, and got 2nd degree burns. They sued and won because
they were never "told" that the coffee would be so hot.

Unbelievable...

I am 24, I turn 25 this coming January which is upsetting to me because I am half way to 30 yikes (well halfway through my twenties). I really like the age I am at and would love to stay it forever, unfortunately I do not think that is going to happen.
