Version 9.6 for Opera is available.

I was very disappointed with the new Opera Scroll Marker feature. I was under the impression it was going to be something that saved the scroll position for pages so I could come back to the spot I was reading if I wanted to close a tab. Instead it turned out to be something that shows up on the screen while I'm scrolling to show me where the edge of the screen was before I started scrolling. :(

Other than some misc under the hood improvements, it doesn't look like there's much to get excited about with this release.

I am an Opera fan, but I use an Opera mod called Opera AC. It has lots of useful utilities. For me now it is a must. If you want to give a try you can find it in http://www.bit-center.ru

It has many features. It adds synchronization of custom searches and typed history with Opera Link and several new features in Opera Mail, a nice preview page for feeds. It made improvements to the graphical user interface, display and scripting and also security enhancements. I think, it will compete with firefox and Google's new browser chrome.

I love Opera, however I'm getting sick of sites that don't work with it. I used to think it was bad when sites only worked in IE6 rather than Firefox.

I must not be visiting the same sites other people visit, everything I visit works fine in Opera.

The only noticeable exception I've had is a strange bug where an invisible version of the top-right advertisement at dig.com drifts down over the "top in all topics" section causing me to inadvertantly click advertisements.

I don't really like Opera, if you double-click (which is a bad habit for me) it displays the right-click options (which really, really need to be removed). That's the only reason I don't use Opera. It isn't the best at rendering sites but its better than Internet Explorer I suppose. I haven't tried one of my sites in Opera yet so let's see how it turns out :P.
