Pay pal is not accepting debit card number for verification

Pay pal is not accepting debit card number for verification, why? They asked debit card number but its not accepting

I faced the same problem, but later I found out that you had to log in from your country's eBay i.e.

EXAMPLE: If you live in Singapore, log in from Singapore's eBay which is:

http://www.ebay.com.sg

Then, you proceed with the debit card verification.

i am having the same problem. But I do not find the connection between ebay and paypal. For verifying debitcard in paypal why I have to login to ebay?

That's because most India debit cards are not accepted by paypal. I found this blog post that gives what appears to be a legit alternative.
