So whats the difference between Kazaalite free download and your hacked version of Kazaa?

Please explain why you need a Hacked version if the version I have is a free download?

well first off i was not the one who hacked this kazza but you dont have to give any info at all so they cant bust ya with info yo gave them
the new kazza there trying to give out will get you busted
one more thing when you download kazza. then you install you are downloading a bunch a *plum* and it dont matter what your speed is. the speed stays at like 2k or 3k and that's it . with this one there is none of that *plum* and you get some other kazza softwere. i like it more!

Normal Kazaa includes alot of adware. You'll notice those pop-ups that open on your desktop. Also there is some spyware involved, watching what you visit. Kazaa lite on the other hand has eliminated both of those. It does like cow said hide you from kazaa as long as the program is installed correctly, if it is not kazaa will attept to patch you back into the system. Also, in a newer version of Kazaa lite, that I have not been able to find, you can enter a search term an infinite number of times, therefore searching through thousands of users instead of several hundred. If you want access to kazaa, kazaa lite is the definite answer.

If you can't be bothered to download KaZaA Lite, Diet KaZaA or another hacked/copied version of KaZaA then you can download an old version. Just go to <A HREF="http://www.oldversion.com" TARGET="_blank">www.oldversion.com</A> and scroll the list (left-hand side) until you reach KaZaA. Download any version between 1.5-1.7. Now, goto <A HREF="http://www.lavasoftusa.com">www.lavasoftusa.com</A> and download the latest version of Ad-aware and the latest "reflist" or "reffile". Then, goto <A HREF="http://security.kolla.de">security.kolla.de</A> and download the latest version of <B>Spybot - Search & Destroy</B> + any updates. These last two programs (as you prob. know ) are both for removing spyware and adware -- which is what KaZaA is (in)famous for.

First, uninstall <B>any</B> versions of <B>any</B> file sharing programs on your computer. Then, install both Spybot and Ad-aware. Run scans with both and get rid of all the things it finds... please check you're not removing a vital component to another spyware-supported program on your computer.

Second, start the KaZaA setup. Tell the Setup DO NOT install any of the advertising programs or spy robot software -- although it still will. Install the program to C:\Program Files\KaZaA. On one of the last dialog screens, it gives you the option to check/uncheck lots of check boxes... uncheck all of them -- except "Do not start KaZaA when the computer starts" (make sure you check it).

Make sure KaZaA is not running in the background (or in the tray). Run both Spybot and Ad-aware. At least one of them will detect two "Cydoor" files called cd_clint.dll and cd_htm.dll. Delete everything they find. Now go into the KaZaA folder (C:\Program Files\KaZaA) and delete EVERYTHING <B>except</B> Kazaa.exe. That includes all the folders. Now goto http://www.cexx.org/dummies.htm and download the FAKE cd_clint.dll zip package. Extract the only dll file and put it in the KaZaA folder. You're finished. (You might wanna delete that cd_clint zip file and empty ur recycle bin ).

Now close all windows and all running programs (except windows, of course ). Delete all unnecessary shortcuts to kazaa components on the desktop and the start menu, except the main one (that points to kazaa.exe ) Fire up KaZaA... now marvel in glory at your new, adware- and spyware-free KaZaA version that isn't hacked... much.
