A guy goes into a bar, sits down and orders a drink of water. The
bartender reaches under the counter, pulls out a gun and points it at the
man. The man says thank you, gets up and walks out.

Why?

you can't stay if you don't order something that costs money, water is free. So the bartender didn't want a freeloader in the bar :twisted:
