I love my position. I work with incredibly professional and talented people, for an organization that was created to live on the 'fringe' -- the "get it done" mentality. We are given all opportunities to innovate technology; integrate that into a high-availability environment -- which we operate end-to-end -- and utilize said technology in grand ways, receiving maximum visibility in the order of millions of requests per minute.

There is no aspect of IT that I do not get to stick my hands into if I so desire, so that no one task becomes tedious through repetition. More importantly, we are provided impossible tasks with impossible deadlines and yet always -- through teamwork and dedication -- make it happen. We have no PHB's (Dilbert Reference, for all you other DNRC members ;) ), and everyone contributes.

Did I forget anything? :)

Cheers.
