sallary expecations

I'm applying for a php programming web position, and they want to know what are my salary expectations.

I hav about 2 years exp. I hav developed content managment systems, and other complex php applications.

what r some industry standards for sallary??

It's US based so, you'll have to find either the closest US city or metro area to where you live and convert to Canadian money. But at least it should give you some approximates.

I will say this. In addition to your experience, you need to also consider what your new company may be willing to pay or anticipating to pay. I was asked the same question when I applied for my current job. I already knew that they were creating this position and weren't looking to spend a whole lot of money on it. I know I'm currently making significantly less than what the going rate for my position (network administrator), but we worked out an arrangement that I'm comfortable with and I love my job, which basically makes up for the difference in what I think I should be making.

Heheh yea, but I'm not a full time employee. If you take my current wage it figures to like 31k, so I'm not TOO far behind ;)
