screen savers on requested

i have a site sales.cowkiller.com and i want to sell screen savers by requset.... the people e-mail me and i make them a screen saver of there choice..... i will mail them a cd or e-mail it to them if it is not to big or give them a download link...... is $5 a good price? and what way should i send it to them? or if the whole thing is a good idea..... what do ya say?..........

I would make a download link that you can send.. If you want it more secure than I would give it an key to unlock it or even a log in name and password to access the download page.. I don't know that is what I think..

My Idea of screen savers on demand:

I demand a screen saver, you supply it free of charge.

well i like the download link idea and i may do it for free for a bit or even like $1 or $2

personally, I'll never pay for a screensaver. And why have one since I'm
never gonna look at it. If I am, it's because I'm not working, and if I'm
not working, I'm certainly not sitting at my pc for nothing.

That is true, I am sure there are people out there willing to pay for cool screen savers. You should just realize that the market is saturated with free screensavers and most people are cheap and would go for those (the free ones). Think about it, have you ever purchased a screensaver? or have you downloaded free ones? I would think most people would be interested in spending their money on something that they could use, instead of what is on their screen when they are not around. Anyway there are people who would still buy them, expecially if your screensaver is extremely unique and attractive for someone to buy. In my personal case, I would never buy a screensaver, but that is just me.

Maybe Cowkiller...but just a suggestion....I think the gist of the above replies are screensavers aren't going to be your "cash cow" (parden the pun)

All this talk and I am really starting to want one of these screen savers.
