Sorry if this is the wrong forum, its been a while since I have dealt with Shopping Carts. Is there a preference or favorites of Shopping Carts amongst the community?

Thank you in advance.

I actually preferred writing my own ... in php ... it was really easy ... So I don't know any shopping carts ...
Let's leave all our *plum* where it is and go live in the jungle ...

I tend to agree with r_t although I appreciate they may not be much help :( I would however personally be interested in seeing any freebie ajax shopping carts, drag&drop etc... anyone seen/heard/recommend anything :?: I'm merely looking for ideas.

If you want a freebie cart there's always osCommerce, a truly horrible application (from a coding perspective) but does the job and has a huge amount of plugins/support for the novice.

I haven't seen any open source Ajax shopping carts yet, but I'm sure they're coming. For my next shopping cart project I think I'm going to take Zen Cart for a test run.

I took ZenCart for a spin. Lots of features, kinda overwhelming. Nothing really to report. Thanks for the answers guys. I am not yet at programming my own cart. I would give it a whirl but I have time constraints.

Thank you again.
