Hmm, strange, well if that does happen and you have indeed seen every post, look on the bottom of the main page of ozzu and click on

"Mark all forums read"

That should solve your problem.

cookies enabled? stupid question but might be relevant.

when I didn't visit here very often i noticed that and simply did what
bigweb suggested, and marked everything read. seemed to work for me.

in the past I also manage to find three cookies for OZZU.

I deleted them all and revisted,
login in and since have had not troubles at all.

oh, sorry - one problem and that was the part where
I misunderstood the part where it said I could delete my own posts,
which proved to be only true when one posted and wanted to delete
it immediatly before someone else posted the next message.

I did have to do a hard-refresh to see the new icons that were added.

odd but true ..

Yeah I had to do a hard refresh too, for the new icons to show.

ah, so your the bandwidth hog at my site !

gotcha !

j/k - I've got mine set for only caching 10Mg at a time.

Proxy caching.

Local ISP attempt to make it look like you are downloading faster,
when in fact all they are doing is checking a local regional cache
first prior to fetching if it does not exist.

thus hard refreshed fetches latest document just to be sure.

it sucks but it makes them look like they have fastest download ...

ie: if I visit one site in the morning,
for the rest of the day, other users on same proxy will
always first be directed to the local caching to check and see,
if they could use anything from there if not then fetches from
originating location.

A lot of Cable ISP do this,
it's called 'Pushing the data closer to the end User'

this ofcourse, is where no-pragma no-cache META expire comes in

Yeah, as Gadget Guru said it could be on page 2 or 3. For example lets say someone posted to a really old post today, which would place it on top of page 1 then. Now lets say the post was inappropriate so a moderator decided to delete the new post to the thread. Since the latest date on the thread is old, it would place it back on page 2 or 3, or wherever it belongs, but since it was edited recently, it would make it not read for other people... meaning people would have to find the post and read it or mark all topics read to get rid of the red.
