I've been thinking about the skype lately. Mostly just because my cell phone is a piece of crap and my service providers (cough cough, alltel, cough) is lousy, actually all local service providers here are dumb, but it is just seeming to be a waste of money. We have a department cell phone for work, and anyone else I could ever want to call either already has skype or could get it, so the cell phone might get donated to the domestic abuse shelter after my contract runs out.

nope, had it, but I already have MSN messenger so I don't see the use of skype aswell ...

I use it but i get enough requests from people in China or Asia that i tend to just decline them all. Nothing personal, but most tend to want to sell something or whatever.

I actually use one of those linksys wifi iphones with skype...and I bought skypein and skypeout
Its actually really cheap, since I actually use the phone a lot
I know its kind of a bad idea but its actually my only form of phone, but since I have wifi at home and on campus (and thats pretty much where I always am) its worked out...
Plus one of my housemates has a friend he talks to in china for long periods of time, which costs me so very little

I don't know why recently I seem to talk more than I used to be.

And I spend at least an hour to think alone everyday....to balance with what I've said to anyone so I'd not talk like a parrot.

I once talked solid for five hours..never do that long again...ehehehehe..fun though!

I think it's free as long as it's PC to PC call. Unless if you want to call to a phone registration line, they still allow that but you have to pay a minimum amount of credits to do that.
I only found out about that yesterday as i was searching for information about charity for cancer. It's these websites now that, they have this little skype icon besides its office tel-number. I clicked on it hoping I could use my skype to call, and turned out that I need to purchase credit.

Why not? I think being able to talk that long is a gift you have. Being creative to carry on a conversation, I have never talked that long before, but would like to try.
