Well here in southeast michigan we are getting plenty of snow. From 11:00 am to 3:00 I have had to snowblow my driveway 2 times. And each time after i was done there was already an inch of snow on the ground. It only takes about a half hour to an hour to snowblow my driveway, but it still sucks. I just got done and there is already an inch on my driveway again! Wow. I think I will have to snowblow at least 2 more times before the night is over.

Could you just ship some of that down here? Pathetically enough, I have never seen snow before. :(

You know, "no snow" is what my girlfriend loves about Florida too... I can live without snow, but I like snow..

I remember going on skiing holidays when I was a kid to Bulgaria & Italy. It was GREAT fun, I had an absolute blast playing in the snow - and sleds are REAL fun :)

Well, what you're getting now is what we're getting soon enough. It's
all the news is talking about, and it drives me nuts. I love snow, it
snows every year, yet the news seems to
think they have to shell out the same boring info every year
about it, as if it's TOP NEWS STORY!!

anyway...come one snow!! I love it. :D

15cm today. 5cm more tomorrow and 30cm (12in) on Friday. Although, that is nothing compared to the winter of 2000. We were hit with 20 to 30cm (8 to 12in) every few days. By the end of March the snow banks were nearly as tall as houses.

Not that its all bad. We get the occassional snow day from work and the outdoor sports are great...

...then again, bring on the sunny beaches. Some of you are lucky!

I knew this picture was hiding on the net somewhere. When I found it, I just had to follow-up on this thread. Look closely and you'll see that the tree tops are barely poking through the surface. Sometimes it can really dump snow on Newfoundland!

FYI: That is a full-sized front end loader; at least twelve feet high (notice the driver).

Geekette: You're welcome to as much snow as you like. haha!

That's in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. I think that area is in Hearts Content... not too far from the capitol city, St. John's.

heh, dosn't work that way, you might be able to stay inside for day or two, but you have to come out for food evetually. and if you think it would stop the busses from bringing you to school, wrong agai. atleast where I live it's all plowed out in 24H after they are done plowing Ottawa proper. mind you in low snow they are nice enough to send plows right away:D, maybe it's just because the salt granaries are out this way :?

 what? I need more then 3 inches to get those stupid busses to stop running... maybe I should move to hell, I hear the weather is warm all eternity round.

they will cancel in freezing rain, but a little ground ice will not stop the busses

Man - I've had one snow day in my life! It takes the whole power grid being knocked out to cancel school in Calgary. We used to be outside at recess if the weather was warmer than -25. We just came out of a big cold spell too now. It just warmed up to around -20 this week. Last week -30 was a high. Not fun for my 30min walk to work. You people and your 'never seen snow'....
