Solid Re-Election Strategy?

Most of u already know that I support the president most of the time and am his biggest critic when he is wrong, but this recent move perplexes me. I understand whole-heartedly about reaching out to the black community, but does this further divide us as a nation?

Maybe. It seems kind of odd to single out the african-american community like this. I'm pretty sure he doesn't have to worry about the black vote in this upcoming election.

Is this any different from Republican candidates trying to appeal to the right-wing Christian voters?
