wow smokenjoe you have like 275 posts and you don't know html yet (not knocking you man), but just wondering how you have so many posts on a webmaster board and you are just now learning html? do you own websites? what do you talk about here hehehe?

Just curious thats all .... and keep up the good work, you will learn it in no time.

I would suggest photoshop7 for designing, if you learn that ...only basic html is required, as photoshop does all the html for you. Just an understanding of tables and basic stuff is required to edit your design.

I also reakon PS7 is the best for designing sites.
here is a quick one I did today to update my crappy design on my new site:
http://www.godonate.com/thegonetwork.html

it is not finished yet, but the basic header and footer is done, just have to intergrate it into godonate.com and add the content etc.

it will look better when I have added content, banner ad to the footer etc. It will be live on the site tomorrow.... ANWAYS .. that was made in PS7 (after all that I said what i wanted you to know)..

Peace

Hey man, Good luck with your online HTML classes. HTML is very easy and it shouldn't be hard for you at all.
Good luck!

come on, surely you can see that is a difference between learning how to write proper markup and learning how to tweak some tables*. Also if you have exported some code for your site in photoshop (why oh why would you do such a thing?) you can just edit the file with dreamweaver or even icky Frontpage. You have just given us a good example of why people can run websites without even knowing the basics.

Good luck with the html smokenjoe. Once you have a good understanding of the basics move on to CSS. There is loads of html that is (or should be) totally redundant now by using stylesheets and that is when stuff gets really fun :D

*all you need to know about tables is why you shouldn't use them most of the time
