Hey all,

I'm looking for a way to attach myself to a wall for a short period of time (3 seconds+ would be great). I would basically be hanging from the wall by just a single bodypart (thinking my heel at this point). I'm looking for a way to accomplish this without damaging the wall. Right now, I'm thinking some sort of glue would be my best option. Are there are glues that can instantly fasten a human to a wall and hold their entire weight for a few seconds?

Just looking for opinions on this. Thanks for the help. :D

I'd go for the good old fashioned approach of trying to get a radioactive spider to bite you. You should then be able to stick to walls no problem, however you may have to use your own ingenuity to make wrist mounted web-shooters.

I am sure there is a perfectly normal reason for this. Your not just jealous of Spiderman?

Or even better, you didnt bet anyone alot of money that you could stick to a wall for a few seconds and prove that Spiderman might actually exist?

Velcro.

You could effectivly mimic spiderman if you strategically place velcro on your body.
Hands, forarms, knees, lower leg and feet should do it. Of course you would have to cover your wall in velcro too.

Thanks for the input.

It has to be able to work on any wall and it shouldn't leave much of a trace. Or at least a trace that is easily removable.

This is sort of a "secret project" but if I get it working I'll give away the details to everybody who helped.

:scratchhead:
What is the key of a succesful relationship? is not about finding the right person, is based on two people doing the right things.

That's top secret. But if somebody helps me accomplish this, I will definitely fill them in.

Attempt to create an anti-gravity device. If perchance you succeed, patent it and let us know how it goes. If not and you choose to revert to "glue" then please be sure you have your cellphone in reach to call the local fire company to attempt to pry you off of it.

http://www.houstonarchitecture.info/ShowBuilding/233.php check this page out.
specifically:
>1985 - The Houston Chronicle reports that a man has been arrested for climbing the outside of the Transco Tower. Donald Treste was wearing a gorilla costume and using suction cups to inch his way up the building's glass facade.

If I am not mistaken they make super strong suction cups with handles that turn one way to stick and another to release. Not exactly what you were looking for, but close.

how so?

I remember a few years ago a few kids in my class taped up one of their little brothers to the wall in pretty much the same way. (the kid was smaller, so not as much tape)

anyways, maybe suction cups?

Some people in the UK may watch brainiac.
They had a "scientific test" to decide once and for all which type of tape was best for hanging a human upside down.
I cant remember which one was best.....
