Sue Email Spammers

it is at least legal for Washington State residents to sue people who spam e-mail illegally. (I live in Washington). I am not sure how many other states will adopt something like this, or if they already have. I think you can sue up to $500.00 USD per e-mail spammed.

"Legislators made it clear yesterday that Washington residents are allowed to sue illegal spammers in neighborhood courts.

The bill, passed unanimously by the state Senate and House of Representatives, removes confusion over whether people who send deceptive commercial e-mail from other states could be sued in Washington"

I believe, that's actually federal law that require spammers to never
spam without your first submitting your email voluntarily, then providing
that user the option out of it as well.

Yeah I would be curious if it really is a Federal law that all states abide by, I of course want the proof though haha, your word isn't enough

DUDE!! if i could SUE every spammer for only $1 each!! I would be as rich as Bill Gates himself! id be set for LIFE!!! i only wish!!

Actually, i read somewhere that some states are adopting this spam law. but the problem is that not ALL states have gotten on board with it. so the spammer simply move to a new state and continue their spamming. see, in order for them to be sued in one of those illegal states the spam must originate from that state where it is illegal otherwise it is not applicable..
