2384k download
661k upload

I guess thats alright because here at my office we are suppose to have 3M/768k, so this is pretty close considering there are about 50 computers sharing that very same connection.

That one showed that I only had 1500 Kbps download. I just did the speakeasy one:

http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/

and that one showed me about 17000 Kbps to 20000 Kbps for a few different locations on the download part.

Mine wasn't the same as it is normally either.
At speedtest.net it was 13341 kbps download and 1498 kbps upload. On yours it was 4418 kbps download and 503 kbps upload. Something can't be right here.

I like the http://www.speedtest.net/ speed test. It allows you to choose different servers across the world to test on and it saves you results so that you can make comparisons over time.

I get numbers ranging from 3000-8000 kbs for "gagdet show", "speakeasy", & "speedtest".

Odd thing is they all have the "Net Metrics Ookla" logo in their bottom-right corner. :scratchhead:

Ok, I know this is an old old old thread and I am reviving it, but it is better than starting a new thread on the same topic, so sorry for this. At this website: http://www.speedtest.net/mini.php they have a **free** speedtest tool to download and put on your site. I tried it on my work website and the install is ridiculously simple, pretty much just editing the name of the index.html file depending on whether you have PHP or ASP or ASPx (has three different index.html files, you choose which you need). And that is it for setup, even simpler than setting up a wordpress blog or something. And I suppose you could modify that index.html file and add a style sheet and stuff to make it fit in with the rest of your site.

This might look like a spam post, but I don't intend it that way. Really, I don't!

Yes, 100 kbps is very slow. That's why it takes time for downloading the website.
