I'm quite interested here on what the general feeling is here on Ozzu about people who go "under the knife" in an attempt to make themselves look attractive?

Being 100% honest here, do you look at another person and judge them on how they might appear? Are you attracted to someone largely on their personal appearance or would you approach someone and speak to them irregardless of whether they resemble a mouldy looking apple?

Do you think it is right for an individual to spend thousands of $$/££/€€ on surgary due? What about the people cashing in on this, do you think the whole "surgery in an attempt to look good" has become too commercialised?

Waste of money. You are who you are, why change it? People can't love you for who you are you don't need 'em anyway. p.s. I'm growing a beard for the first time since college just for kicks.

I'll tell you something, being in on a saturday evening and being bored out of my mind is not a good thing. I figured this could make for a good conversation though (for some reason).

Funny you should say that Mark, I too am trying to grow a beard :D

Thats right, you are who you are, if your the type of person likely to spend money on surgery, then your still you, it just defines you even more. I myself wouldnt get an surgery to change how I look, but thats just me, thats who I am.

As for the first question by SB, I got this quote from a friend of mine Jake,
"Its not whats on the outside that counts, its the inside, but the outside still helps."
I would talk to anyone, no matter how they look, I always like making new friends, but if you love someone it wont matter how they look because you will love them anyway.

Well, most of the time, appearances are the first thing someone notices about the other person and that will lead them to go up and talk to them. But in the long run, what really matters is personality b/c we all know as we age, physical beauty disappears but inner beauty grows!

It all comes down to a old saying.

I always judge a book by its cover.
Either that or the author, I generally only read Dan Brown and Matthew Reilly.

EVERYONE judges the book by it's cover. If people didn't care what one another looked like, there wouldn't be plastic surgery and we wouldn't be having this conversation.

I say go for it. Not all people go under the knife just to look good. Some do it to correct a birth defect or scarring, others do it to boost their self esteem (the number one reason for breast implants), and yes, some people do it just to look good.

I am not totally against it or totally for it either.

I think its each to their own. Personally I wouldn't do because I am happy with the way I look..

Do they have some sort of guarentee on that kind of stuff yet ?
Like with implants, is there a "hollered at or your money back" gimmick ?

If it will make you feel better about yourself & loosen up a little so we can all have fun, go for it.
Hell, if they can make you look like someone else, why couldn't they make you look like the old you again ? :scratchhead:

Cosmetic surgery is for people with quite serious mental health problems and it should be illegal.

Think about what surgery is, It's when they cut you with a knife, So to do that for any other reason than to cure a medical condition or save a life is nothing more than mutilation.
