I have been thinking about the best way to access any file anywhere from my home.

I have windows pc at home.
I have a mac laptop that goes places or is at home.
I have a windows pc at work.

Accessing data on my workstation and userdrive at work is easy, I have a vpn and get right in.

Going the other way is more difficult. Either the workstation at work or the laptop there or elsewhere, how does one easily get to pictures, documents, or movies at home?

I was thinking about http://www.pogoplug.com/ or https://secure.logmein.com/products/hamachi2/, dropbox, or some such product.
Hamachi is out, it has no osx client.
Pogoplug isn't great because the contents are on physical drives inside my computer.
Dropbox has this annoying part of it, remembering to drag files to it, as I wouldn't want all the files of a directory, say my fraps screenshots/movies uploaded, but still want access to them.

I like the dropbox/pogoplug type of service over the hamachi.

How do you access your data at home?

If you use Microsoft Office OfficeLive works OK.

Or if you are a gmail person, google docs works pretty good too.

I've used, and been happy with, LogMeIn, RDC and Hamachi.
I'd love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.

Trying to avoid the single file choice to upload.
Dropbox is decent but again, for instance I need to access my fraps folder with 3+gig of pics.. that won't work for internet boxes.

I found Shimo with Hamachi2 might work, going to try that out with xp's folder share with ntfs. Will post if it works.
