I was wondering if any of you are involved in the stock market. I have been investing in penny stocks in the last few days and came away with $80.00. At one point I could have made $700.00 but I sold too late :(

Not yet, but I've thought about it. We'll see.

I always help my parents with stocks... I think we've made like 20,000 in the past 2 years. It just takes a lot of research.

If you go to http://www.ameritrade.com they use to have an online investment tournament that used the stock market. basically it got you to learn to invest and diversify your portfolio. The tournament ran for about three months or so. I found it to be an excellent teacher of the stock market. I don't think they are running the tournament anymore, they do have some online help to get you started in the stock market. Enjoy :D

haha, I'm 19 right now, and my Grandmother bought me 3 shares of Pepsi when I was only 6. I believe that I now own 21 shares of Pepsi. Another few years and I'll be good to go! :)

I think I had like 20-50 Shares of ERTS at the time. My dad invests the rest of my money for me.

Hey, if they are making you money (probobly more then you could make on your own..) who cares about the commission?
I mean think about it, they are huge, probobly have hundreds if not thousands of employees who do nothing all day but analize the market and make predictions to make you money.
Granted you can invest in the same companies they predict yourself, but why not pay a little extra money to ensure that you get sound advice and make the right moves?
Seems worthwhile to me...I doubt I would ever try to handle my own investments myself (then again I don't have enough money for it to matter LOL)
