Yeah hoooray! he looks pretty hittious! I am surprised he didn't have a bomb strapped to himself, to blow himself and everyone else up when they raided the place.

People like Saddam and Osama are quick to encourage others to "martyrdom," but they don't seem to relish the idea for themselves. The only time Saddam risked his own life was in an attempt to assassinate someone else and increase his own standing in the Baath party. I'm not surprised they had to dig him out a hole like the rat that he is.

I hope Osama is next. That would be an even better omen for the new year, but this is the best news in a while.

I was just going to post this too! You guys beat me. This is such good news :D

Now if they would only get Osama, I think he is a bigger threat in my opinion.

I was hoping they'd catch them both in the same hole shooting craps or something. I'm sorry, but I would have "accidentally" dropped a hand grenade.

I think a very large part of Osama's threat is over. Saddam is a large
part of his funding, and now that's just not gonna happen. I love that
he was captured and captured alive. That just takes the cake...

no martyrdom for saddam! 8)

What do you think should happen to him now? I think that a lethal injection would be far too good for him.

Well he has been pretty much in a 4 foot cell for the last 8 months underground. At least he should be used to it! I think death would be better though. He is responsible for millions of deaths, so he should get treated the same.

I still think the "accidental grenade" thing would have worked and nixed any further discussion.

Sorry if that sounds unpatriotic, but it doesn't hold a candle to my first thought.

well, Im my opinion, I thinks he shouldnt be killed, at least not yet, people like Saddam doesnt deserve to die, in the contratry, to live and that someone do the same stuff to him that he did to 10000 of people, and humilliate him before putting him in the lectrical chair . If there is a Satan in this world that would be Saddam

I wonder if we can put him in a cell and throw away the key except meal times where we can give him bread and water maybe meat and veggie on good days IF HE IS GOOD. They can interrogate him all they want but he will never give up whatever he was hiding so long. Yes he probably should get the electic chair but that would be too good for him. If he has whisper of consious he will confess down the long road of life which should be just as tough as we can make it without doing what he was doing to him own people. I do not think he knows what love is.

I am from the uk and the capture is Saddam was a joy to everyone..

but what to do with him, everyone has their own view, but it isn't up to the people of any other country that iraq, there will be a court in iraq and he will have a "fair" trial  the UN say they dont want him executed, i wouldn't be suprised if 1 iraq person were to assasinate him in the court, people would probably jump for joy and make the assasin the new president lol

I agree with the accidental grenade, imagine what the soldiers were thinking about doing to him when they found out he was saddam  lol,

*silently pulls out a knife from his holster.......*.

lol yeah Sadams assasin probably would become a canadate for presidency over there. I'd also be willing to bet that someone under Sadams old regime would kill him before or people or the UN even put him on trial :) good point Nucleo
