Be sure to note what it is you want this traffic to do when they get there.

SEO links from google, trades from parter sites, "bookmark this site" on your site, posting to { myspace, facebook, craigslist, blogs, etc }, and paid advertising.

At it's height, rentyourdot.com was getting 100,000 visitors a day.
