upload as ascii

how do i Upload a cgi file as ASCII/plain text, not binary. and also a .dat file as ascii to my server. :roll:

i am trying to upload a feedback script to my server through dreamweaver mx or sometimes i use ws_ftp pro and the instructions told me to upload it as ascii also the .dat file as ascii

try uploading it normally at first, most uploaders automatically know which files need to be ascii and which need to be binary.

any time, I know bulletproof ftp has a button to switch inbetween ascii/binary/auto choose
