Hey I am trying to think of the best way to build a site in which users can go in and select components/content and customize their page to show the things that they want to read and see when they log in. Drag and drop for the components would be nice.

I almost wonder if mediawiki (like wikipedia) might be capable of the custom pages thing. Or you might check the various open source CMS programs like joomla too, someone might have done it already with that.

If you wanted to build it from scratch though, who would you need? A php coder with ajax experience?
