Sorry if i have posted this on the wrong forum or if the request for info is not appropriate (i am a newbie!)

i'm a sports fan & thru my interests in sport i've come up with a very accurate mathematical method to predict race times for athletics,swimming,horse-racing,etc.
if i have 2 race performances at other distances (i.e. if i have times for 5000m & 10000m i can give a very good prediction for the Marathon distance,or if you have a swimmer who has times for 200m/400m you can predict the theoretical time for 800m or 1500m or 100m,or for a horse-race if you have times for 1 mile/1 1/4 mile it can predict the time for 1 1/2 mile. i think you get the general picture.
also using a similar method i can predict accurately what a given race should be run evenly throughout (as virtually all races are run unevenly) i.e consider a horse race over 1 1/4 miles, where the horse goes out too fast over the first 1mile & "dies" over the last 1/4 mile,i can give a prediction of what that horse (or any athlete) should have run for it at even pace

i've used this method for over 1y on various sports forums & it is accurate & as far as i'm aware it's unique ( i've not found any other "sports calculator" on the web which uses this method or gives this accuracy)

for fun,i was going to try & develop this & just post it on the web ( it will take many weeks & will use up all my spare time & i'll need help from a computer programmer friend!),but then i thought if i put in all this hard work, perhaps i might make a little cash out of it.

what i'm basically saying is, what kind of money could someone make from a hopefully interesting site for sports fans (with a unique product) thru click-thru/banners/impressions,etc.

if it looks like i could make some reasonable cash from this i can make this a priority in my life or if it's not likely to make anything, then i can put it on the backburner & just develop it leisurely over a few months to a year & post it for fun

any views ( i must apologise again if the topic of money is distasteful, but i'm just trying to see whether i should concentrate on this or not)?

Have you considered instead of banner advertising, providing a free sample of how it works and charging a nominal membership fee to use the service? It may be more profitable, if the product is marketed well, and you do gain a respectable member base.

i have thought of this but i feel slightly uneasy at the thought of charging young sportsfans even a small amount of money for this service.

i've seen a lot of sites with not a lot of content & basically just linksites to others, with the hostsite having a lot of pop-ups & banners.

i was just looking for a ball-park figure of what a possibly popular site could garner in fees from pop-ups & banners - & also what sort of pop-ups/banners i should be looking to put on the site: e.g. sports drinks, sports equipment &/or the plethora of betting ones for online casinos/poker,etc. (i don't condone gambling, but these seem to be very popular & at least i'm not taking money of the surfer directly - they have free will if they wish to gamble)

any suggestions for the above?
