I was talking to George,

Nah, he does'nt bore me lolol but things like forums that I create if they don't work out yesterday they bore me.

People who rant at nothing in particular bore me.

If I work at something, the same thing too long that bores me rigid.

Watching the news at 6 bores me so now I watch Deal or no Deal whilst having dinner lol I now also read ceefax instead then *I choose what news.

What bores you?

When sitting alone. Wondering what's next, it bores me.

I know, I've been sitting here for the past few minutes laughing at how fast a mod (you) are nixing them as they're showing up.

IMO, perhaps an IP ban is in order. This certainly isn't the first time I've seen spam pointing to that site.

Time for a few hours of sleep anyway. Eight hours in a cubicle sure makes me tired.

What bores me? Cubes.

...rectangles? :D

what really bores me is endless meetings I have to interpret during which nobody says anything of any real value.... you know the sorts of useless conversations - 'thank you so much for seeing us, we really value your time...' 'oh no thank you for coming to see us, we really value your assistance....' 'yes I'm sure our cooperation will be amazingly successful...' 'of course, as it always was in the past...' blah blah blah now extrapolate to 4 hours of similar blather and you get something really BORING. Also I can't just switch off cuz I have to interpret this rubbish.

yeah that's nice... spacing out doesn't bore me at all... I love car journeys, train journeys, meetings I don't participate in - anything that lets my mind wander from subject to subject... or just sort of fog over... very pleasant. I also love sitting in the shade in the summer and staring at the sea. for hours.

Don't you ever get tempted to invent your own conversations during these lame-o meetings? You could potentially change the future just by rearranging a few words. That would be exciting, the opposite of boring.

I do it sometimes, to the degree which will not get me fired. I translate jokes entirely differently for instance. like replacing non-funny ones with funny ones. I change almost all metaphores. sometimes I actually complete sentences when people don't really know what they want to say, or explain things entirely differently if I think the explanation that has been given makes no sense (they often don't)

I often wondered whether it would work to completely invent the content. I guess it could work for a while, but you'd need incredible brainpower to simultaneously make up stuff which will be completely different from what's being said but not raise any unexpected reactions from the other side....

yeah well it's really embarrassing when you translate a joke exactly and the guy who told it is waiting for a reaction and the people just blink at you.... so it's just easier to replace them.

The guy who told the joke would probably think you messed it up if it was funny to him but not the others. I like going over to my parents house and asking my mom something, like maybe if she wanted to go somewhere for dinner and she would say to ask dad, so I go to dad and not lie, but not tell the entire truth. I'll say something like mom wants to know where he wants to go for dinner, and he'll say anywhere. So I tell my mom it is ok with dad and we can go to these certain restaurants, and mom picks one, so then I go to dad and say where mom wants to go. I've been doing that for years and every single time I get free food, it works really well.
