What do you look for in a website!!

What do you look for in a website to say it looks great or is well developed?

Polished, neat and tidy, proper grammer. No annoying flash backgrounds

ditto foxy, plus useful content perhaps

I look for the effective and efficient delivery of information in an aesthetically pleasing wrapper.


Things that turn me OFF:

Splash pages, time and date stamps for no reason, improper use of Flash, embedded audio (unless well managed in Flash), malformed color schemes, information that isn't formatted into a visual hierarchy, automatic scrolling news pogs.

I'm sure there's more...

Should not be very flashy. Should use Decent colors.
And most important.... should not make user to click too many links to reach the correct information.

Good:
Decent/proper English is a must (at least, for me), as well as easy navigation. I like nice, soft colors, not bright neon ones that just slap me in the face. Oh, and I love almost anything in flash.

Bad:
AnY sOrT oF tYpInG lYkE this iS jUsT fLaT oUt aNnOyInG! I don't like background music in general, unless there's an off button. Embedded videos on the main page absolutely kill my slow and pathetic computer.

i always look for a nice clean layout, not alot of images, a site that can be SEO'd properly. Nice images. Nice scripts.
