I vote for the ommellete because I skipped breakfast and lunch today.
Like Mr Spork, I also write about my interest in alcoholic beverages.

I believe it is the rooster. The rooster cock-a-doodle-doo first before we actually fry an egg before breakfast so the rooster came first.

But the rooster came from an egg, which was laid by a hen, which came from an egg, which was laid by a hen, which came from an egg, which was laid by a hen, which came from an egg, which was laid by a hen, which came from an egg, which was laid by a hen, which came from an egg, which was laid by a hen, which came from an egg, which was laid by a hen, which came from an egg, which was laid by a hen, which came from an egg, which was laid by a hen, which came from an egg.....and so on, etc. etc.

Or we could just make it easy and say that God created the rooster and the hen and just be done with it, but then somebody's going to ask "who created God".

I wonder if this question will ever really be answered lol.

No one created God, if someone did, the question about who created the creator will never end. I think that is a characteristic of a divine being - the first in everything in existence.

If we are to base the bible for a conclusion...

Genesis 1:20-25

Quote:
20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creeps upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good... 31 And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

It is very clear that God created a living creature. It did not say God created eggs of every living creature. Which narrows our choices down to either the rooster or hen.

How do you know rooster wasn't here before the egg that hatched the chicken ?

Something had to impregnate whatever laid that first chicken bearing egg.

Genetically, the egg had to come first.

If the theory of evolution holds, then there must have been some species before the chicken that continued to procreate until one day, an egg is fertilized but a mutation occurs in one or more of the chromosomes, changing the individual enough that it becomes a separate species. This egg thus contains the very first chicken embryo, and thus, the egg came before the chicken.

Mystery solved.

Just out of curiosity, does a chicken have more rib bones than a rooster ?
