I think what is funny is how even after being proven wrong by CentOS this guy still tries to pass on some blame.

It's too funny.

As an IT guy for the local city government, I must say that this totally does not surprise me one bit! We've got some stupid people here, it's a typical government operation.

Let me tell you what I did the other day to get myself in trouble. The secretary in the engineering department decided she wanted my help playing a trick on the receptionist in the treasurers office. Her idea was the oldest in the book, she wanted me to re-arrange all the buttons on a keyboard then swap it out after 5 when the office was closed, so I did. Then the next morning the boss and I were in the council chambers trying to get their video system working, and she came barging in saying either I was going to get her a keyboard that works or she was going home for the day and it could come out of my salary. My boss said she wasn't getting anything with that attitude, but I got off my butt and replaced the keyboard without saying a word. I told my boss the story and he said not to do that ever again. I guess playing a harmless little trick on someone who is not a morning person is a very bad idea...

That is funny, I have had similiar emails sent to me as well, though not as extreme as that. I really don't understand how some of these people can function in our society.

Here is a video clip news story of it:

Oh and also note that the anchor's background over-the-shoulder graphic misspells "wide" as "wibe".
