Looking for something to tell me who is on my website, came accross this http://www.usertracer.com has anyone used their service before? If so can would you recommend it?

I use http://www.reinvigorate.net it has a function to see who is on your site.

If your site is PHP you could use this code on your index page :-

Quote:

if(eregi("Googlebot",$HTTP_USER_AGENT))

mail("youremail@youdomain.com", "Googlebot detected", "Google has crawled yourdomain.com");
}
?>


It will email you when googlebot is on your homepage.
You may also adjust the code to watch for other spiders, just put corresponding text instead of "google" in the first string and it will watch out for them.
Here is the list of some spiders you may wish to track:
Altavista: "Scooter"
AllTheWeb: "FAST-WebCrawler"
Inktomi: "Slurp/cat"
Grub:"grub-client"
