Why not to change the configuration of a computer.

You tend to forget to change them back and it's someone elses computer.

If you have no means to replace something if you break it.

I always change the display configuration if it bothers me ... actually just the resolution, I always set it to the max that it can go ... I just always make sure that the resolution can go that high on the monitor, because sometimes the drivers don't pick up the max resolution of a screen and you set it too high and then you could be in trouble ...
