Having said that, I do prefer UK Starbucks to those in the US. I think it's the milk. Milk in the US is strange.

On a recent trip to Niagara Falls, Canada, there literally was a Starbucks within 5 minutes walking distance of any other Starbucks, often less.

Even in my hometown, you can walk out the doors of a Starbucks and there's another Starbucks in sight. It's kind of sickening, really.

I still haven't figured out what that is, but it's not coffee.

I was cleaning out my car the other day, and there was a glob of thick, black grease on the floor under my driver's side seat. Although it was most likely grease from the seat hinges or something similar, there's a good chance it may have been McDonald's coffee.

The problem with their coffee is that it sits on the burner all day (and thus is burnt by the time I ever get it), and they keep it way too hot -- unnecessarily hot -- so that I have to wait 10 or 15 minutes to drink it.

McOffee? It's horrible - well, it has gotten better since they introduced the "fresh" ground stuff, but its still not too hot. Luckily, I'll be picking up my Gaggia espresso maker sometime in the next few days (thank you wedding list :) )

I like creamy beverages at Costa (mocha flake etc) but I'd hardly call that coffee. Serbia is big on coffee, but most people have it traditional turkish style, boiling honest-to-god roasted ground coffee beans in water. Very retro, I know. I don't really like the taste of coffee though (love the smell - nothing beats the aroma of freshly ground coffee!!! mmmm warm and spicy.....) and it's the only ice cream flavor I dislike. I can drink it mixed with milk, chocolate, cinnamon, cream and other de-coffee-fying ingredients............

I love milk tea, british style. especially earl gray. mmmm bergamoty..... :D

For some reason I want a coffee from America, I have been told it's very strong and very tasty. :P

I don't think strong or tasty have anything to do with "American" coffee. It just depends on how it's made. Most coffee beans aren't grown in the U.S., so there really isn't a whole lot of "US coffee", unless you're just referring to coffee that's brewed here, but that's largely a per-basis kind of thing, not really cultural.

Now, I have a friend who makes coffee so strong that it's like drinking black sludge. But that's just because he's crazy. ;)

Can you get Maxwell House? Any blend is a good blend. And they are now using 100% Arabaca beans in all their blends.

Columbian coffee is pretty big here in the States if you can get ahold of it there.
