Why do you post in forums?

Yes... but most of us don't use this backlinks or whatever... for the follow option anyway.

In all seriousness, I started posting in forums 5 years ago for a few reasons.

  • To get noticed and maybe get into some work that didn't involve being in the hot Florida sun all day every day
  • While looking for answers to my own questions, I stumbled across other peoples questions that I had an answer to, even if it wasn't always the best answer
  • I'm generally an extremely quiet person when there's more than one pair of eyes and hands I have to watch, I can relax enough to conversate (or as close to conversate as I get) on a forum

I still post in forums today for the same reasons, and occasionally a few other reasons such as leveraging the presense I've built up to force others to act quicker, or to stash a piece of information I might need later when I'm not at my own computer.

whenever I have questions and want some others point of view I'll raised it through forums... and I read some thread and asking for advice to then I will reply to it...
