Guys, come on. Don't be shy to say the truth.

I learned a lot through forum sites and read lots of posts.

In the neighborhood, they use forum sites for link, just like in the signature. I'll be putting mine too. lol

I think I can count on both hands the total number of times I've clicked forum signature links since 1997. And I might have a few fingers left over for the next ten years.

Make friends, Make enemies, Fight boardem, Procrastinate working, Answer Questions, Learn something.

Notice spamming my site link wasn't in that list... Now I have gotten clients from my sig link, but in every case it was because they valued my answers/input from the form discussions and not because they were randomly clicking a link.

However, the link in my sig was purely an experiment (still is) with google analytics. And it worked too!

lol.

Forums help me to find answers to some questions I have, sometimes. It is one of the best ways for me to speak. I did not always speak as conscious as now after more than a year in Ozzu. It has helped to train me. We are able to wait for the answers not obliging signing in, unlike other online chat tools, e.g Messenger or some others which we are required to sign in each time to just read for possible answers. Same goes to IRC chat client where we have to sign in and install Java components to seek for answers.

Forum gives you time to wait for your answers. It also gives other forum's posters time to help you.

Forum is simple.

Forum I believe can even build friendships, and meet new people with the same interests. This is like bridging two or more people with similar interests which is a powerful way of communicating.

I once read in a blog, there was a comment asking why the blog owner has not visited a certain forum after wishing him thanks for some programming solutions (apparently they knew through that forum and has become friends over a period of time), and the owner replied -- he has been busy and he was trying to get out of his addiction visiting that forum, and he has spent too much time chatting in that forum.
