Ok heres the deal,

I am a comcast internet customer in New Jersey

Up until yesterday , my IP would show that I am in Princeton Junction NJ whenever I did an ARIN search on my IP that I got from IPCHICKEN. It had been this way for 6 months.

Then yesterday i noticed my IP had changed drastically , not even the same first block of numbers matched the previous one. I have 2 computers hooked to a Belkin router. So both of my computers used to have the same IP.

Now today i checked it. One computer says my IP is connected to some business called "FAST-SERVE" located in Maryland. But when i do an IP chicken on the other computer and trace it, That IP says it is connected to Comcast .

Also another thing that is wierd that on both my computers if i go to one of those "visitor tracking maps" both computers show I am in waynesboro Pensyvania.

I don't get it? what happened ? Does this look like my computer has been hacked and maybe somebody is using my network to conceal thier connection or something?

This is wierd.

Sometimes, ISPs change the way they assign IP addresses. Either that or one of your PCs connected to a neighbor's router, if it's wireless.

Well, that would explain it then.

Whatever is happening it still shows you as posting from Comcast in New Jersey

I bet in a couple days no matter which computer you check from it will show the same place, I think they say it takes up to 72 hours for DNS changes to take effect worldwide.
