Just an FYI in case you didn't do what I did, the winter olympics start today.

Kind of funny how you wake up, open your browser, go to google, and google tells you what today is! (cool logo today).

Actually I'm posting this because I was curious if anyone else likes the website design as much as I do. I think I can say that's the nicest looking Olympics site I can recall ever seeing. Very impressive.

You know ATNO before reading your post all the way through I clicked the link to the Olympic games site and was thinking to myself: 'They did a really good job designing this website and making it look great.'

And sure enough after tabbing back to finish your post I see you were thinking the same thing. =)

USA! USA! Interesting day for us yesterday. Got the medal lead.
I'd love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.

Well the website clearly displays it's powered by Bell Canada
http://www.bell.ca/home/

In this case it appears that they did design it. I'm assuming this since they have a case study on it which you can download if you are interested.

Bell's Olympic Program Management Office is responsible for the delivery of an endto-
end communications network and managed services to VANOC. Bell is VANOC's
entire outsourced communications department, providing everything from voice, data,
Internet, cabling, Web services, and broadcast support. Bell's Olympic Program
Management Office had 29 distinct program streams with 10,000 project milestones
at the peak of the six-year-long initiative, incorporating every element of VANOC's
business communication needs, ranging from Internet connectivity to broadcast
support to network security, as well as communications support for HR, budgeting,
service delivery, procurement, supply chain, and more. Bell's Olympic program office
also consolidated all of the finance functions into a single Olympic finance unit. "Every
penny … spent on this program is managed by one single group," which also avoided
confusion, stated Richard Brodowski, director of Bell's Olympic project management
office in Vancouver.
