wireless internet problems

i have a ibm lap top with a cisco built in wireless adapter. i use linksys as my router. when im not using kazaa, mirc, or imesh my connection is fine i am able to access the internet. but when i start to download, 10 to 15 minutes later i lose connection to linksys and i have to restart my laptop inorder to reestablish connection

it dont think wouldnt be your linksys it would most likely be your computer.. has this been happening as long as you have had linksys? The only thing I can think of that its a virus.. maybe its a form of the worm? But, I think its your computers settings..

yeah i know its my lap top.. i use linksys on two computers so i know its my lap top its been doing this ever since i got my comp. does any one know what settings i should do

You running on Windows XP? See I just cant think of anything in your settings that would disconnect when your downloading..

Are your other computers hooked up by wireless too? The reason I ask is because I have a wireless router, but we only have one computer and one laptop using it. The other two computers are using ethernet wire and are plugged directly into the router.
