I don't think the thought of sitting in a room full of sweaty fat nerd guys or skinny guys with pimple/spots all over the face attracts girls that much. And thats probably the image many girls have of programmers.

Also I think there is a image that programmers are kinda odd and wierd to deal with.

Would a guy want to job with only ugly nerdy girls? Some wouldn't mind but you rather pick the job with the hot girls I think. :)

Also girls gets attracted to the wrong things when sitting in-front of the computer. They just have to login to any site basically and all guys will be there talking to her and licking her feet's and she feel like all special (chatting is rewarded and the girl feel good/flattered and want to do it again). While guys gets no attention at all usually and learn that the internet is a place of rejection from hot girls. So they look for something else to do while at home and thats how I think you create a computer nerd that want to grow up and make softwares just like Bill Gates.

Not true at all. I pick the job I'm good at, enjoy doing, and happen to make decent money doing. I choose to *live* near where the night life, fun, and girls are ;)
The Beer Monocle. Classy.

I did, Gosan, wow! How ironic. Amazing that anyone would even think in those terms 150 years before the capability to use it was heard of.

Rabid Dog, why? lol. I like the group and especially their videos ;)P

because women like the easy stuff? ... but there are women out here who are programmers and the number increases day in day out... the men will be in for a bigger surprise some time soon :)

Not surprised. I have worked with female colleagues in Canada, the USA, and India, and while they are a minority, they are growing each year.
