Not sure how I missed this. Saw the initial video today for the first time from another source and remembered this thread and came and actually read it. I doubt it's a hoax. My girlfriend teaches school and from some of the horror stories I've heard her tell me about some of her kids, I can completely believe that kid reacted like that genuinely.

And I totally agree he needs the *peach* beat out of him.
