Hi

Email from several of my sites hosted by ipowerweb.com are now being blocked by Yahoo.

Apparently now the samething is happening with a site hosted by Interland.

Anyone have any idea how to solve this?

Thanks

try altering the text that gets sent and whats included in subject.

The recipients could always mark them as not being spam then yahoo will send them to thier inbox.

Do they junk them or just not deliver them at all?

Yahoo is rejecting the email. If I send them to my own yahoo account I don't even see it. I get a rejection notice from Yahoo.

Sounds like they banned the IP range. You can ask your host to intercede with Yahoo, since they own the block.

I have gotten no where with the ISP.

Why are they blocking emails from my ISP's server?

This is what I get back from Yahoo.

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at host214.ipowerweb.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following
addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

<myemailaddress@yahoo.com>:
Connected to 64.156.215.6 but greeting failed.
Remote host said: 553 Mail from 66.235.203.121 not allowed - VS99-IP1
deferred - see help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/defer/defer-02.html (#5.7.1)
I'm not going to try again; this message has been in the queue too
long.

<anotheremailaddress@yahoo.com>:
Connected to 67.28.114.36 but greeting failed.

I think that is your host's IP, not your ISP's :?:

I should have said the host not the ISP.

I have written Yahoo but it is almost impossible to get their attention.

someone has been spamming from the ip block you your host is on.

you should keep getting on at yahoo to remove the blocked ip's or try using another smtp server (other than your hosts) to send the mail.

Do you know if anyone had registered your domain(s) before? If so, it is possible that thr urls may be blocked due to spamming in the past...

I know this is an old thread, but the problem still hasn't gone away. My suggestion, which I know many of you can't follow for business reasons, is to ban Yahoo. Tell all your Yahoo subscribers and contacts that Yahoo won't accept any emails from you so they need to supply you with a non-Yahoo email address.
