Long live <marquee>!!

Oh man this one made me laugh.

I think my first ever site was a geocities site as well. For a computer game I used to play back in the day. I even remember a class in junior high or something that actually required we use a marquee in our web design. Oh man, that was some time period.

The era of AOL chat rooms and enough .gif animations to make your head hurt.

 Okay, that really made me laugh out loud.

And...just in case someone didn't know, the original Hamster Dance was hosted on Geocities. ;)

Ahh yes Geocities, that is where it all began for me since I had no money. Actually my first webpage I ever put online was with Geocities. I think after that I put a few on Tripod. Then soon after once I made a bit of money from those sites, I finally got my own domain and was on a shared web host. Kept reinvesting money made from the sites until finally was able to get a dedicated server. Never used outside cash for anything, but it all started with Geocities giving me the opportunity. So I guess in a way, Ozzu would have never existed without Geocities ;)

When I was with Geocities, Yahoo! did not own them yet though.

I remember Geo was the first place I ever popped up a website. That and Tripod.

Is Fortunecity part of that shut-down? I still use my little account there - to test stuff.
