Yahoo messenger problems

I've been trying to fix this all night long. I can download Yahoo Messenger fine but when I open it and sign in I'll try to activate my archives and a message pops up that says "YPager.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program.

An error log is being created."

I have restarted, redownloaded and repaired this but it isn't fixing. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this problem?

have you deleted the existing ymsgr?

Yes, I've uninstalled it and deleted it but it does the same thing. I've downloaded it from different sited but it all comes out the same.

you must have a corrupted file within your os. Have you tried to install another client to see if that works?

if i can say, u must install it online, even u have dowloaded the progrm. and u cannot using a proxi or internet trought lan

If you cant get Y! messenger working I recommend trillian you can get it from trillian.cc, the newest version is 2.01, its not free so you'll have to pay for it or just lookup a crack for it.

oh and BTW joenie, I have installed it offline many times (I just got it from my temp directory), you dont have to be connected to the net while installing, well atleast as of version 5.6, I dont know if they have updated it yet...
