Would you leave a link unit with a CTR of 0.25% and an eCPM of $0.04 up ?
Half of me says that it's better than nothing, the other half is screaming "opportunity cost !" at the top of its' lungs.

I'm on the advertiser end and only seeing a 0.24% CTR (avg.) so I guess it is not that bad. What rate did you normally have? You better be getting loads of traffic at 4 cents though :).

Well, ad units on the site do orders of magnitude better. The link unit in question is a 4 link 728x15 towards the top of the layout. In some areas the link unit is maybe 20 pixels below a 728x90 image unit.

I don't seem to do any better than a couple of cents for eCPM when it comes to link units on any of my sites. I'm on the fence about just abandoning link units completely.
Strong with this one, the sudo is.

Image and link units aren't really interchangeable. The formats are different and the link units were used in addition to the existing image/text units.
