Yes, that's true, my site (the one in my sig) has hundreds of backlinkes in all other search engines ( yahoo, altavista, alltheweb...) and no one in google, though it was indexed by google few weeks ago, the site itself was created little more than a month ago.
I'm a programmer myself, but I'm not a big specialist in SEO or other related stuff, so would you please have a look at my source code and let me know if anything is wrong with it from googlebot's point of view. I guess something is wrong since google refused to put adsence on my site.
When do you think I'll recieve a PR?

Thanks a lot :P

Maybe you are the sandbox, Its a google filter for new sites.. It could take up between 3 - 6 months. the least you can do is to get more links the natural way. Not with the coop or network linking. Try to link to site that has the same theme as you

Thanks for reply, that's what I'm doing - most relevant links are clean, natural reciprocal links from sites with the same theme (10-20 at least are like these). Well, I guess I'll just habe to wait for google. But 3-6 months seems realy a lot... I came to the first 10 positions on my keywords at msn and yahoo in just few weeks ;)

thanks for a tip

Johndoe,
You dont have backlinks in google because the next BL Update Prediction is around Aug 16. You will recieve a PR probably at the end of October. And about the sandbox Boohlick already said "Its a google filter for new sites.. It could take up between 3 - 6 months." But sandbox does not affect your pr only the appearance in google search engine for your particular keywords.

Lately the Google Sandbox is just a myth which refers to a waiting
period.

Generally speaking, "sandbox" refers to an area to develop new things.

LIke this:

First time I ever heard of Google refusing an average site.

What do you mean "refuse"? Did they actually send you an email
telling you 'sorry, but we are not allowing you into Adsense'?

If so, what was their reason?

Sorry, but I feel compelled to say this again :x

The Google 'sandbox, filter, waiting period' is nonsense.

The reason it takes 3 to 6 months, (or whatever), is lack of backlinks.

Want proof?

Launch a new site and get 100 good PR backlinks for it in the first
few days. You'll be somewhere in the top 1,000 on the next update.

I know cuz I did it, it's not a miracle, just hard work.

So why is everyone talking about the Google 'sandbox filter'?

Heh, here's how it works....

1.) Someone on some webmaster type forum mentions some sort of
theory or idea that could make sense.

2.) A long thread of replies is created.

3.) Some self-proclaimed expert that makes a living by
writing SEO articles notices the thread and thinks: "Hmmmm,
I could write on that'.

4.) He/she writes an article on a new theory going around.

5.) Hundreds of webmasters read the article and take if for truth.

6.) They go back to their favorite forums and spread the word, heh.

This happens so often that I am considering launching a site called
google-myths-debunked.com. :D

I don't agree with you. First of all to get 100 good PR backlinks for your new site in the first few days sounds almost impossible. I mean good PR backlinks 3+. Second one to be somewhere in top 1000 is equal to nothing. I did it too with some sites and the result is the same. You come up in google after 5-6 mounts. So I think sandbox exist and it is intended to stop the spammers from making 10-20 sites spam 10000-20000 links and go straight to the first page.

Yes, I agree, it is close to impossible, but not all mine were PR3+ and I had
most of them lined up before I published the site.

True, except being in the top 1,000 means you are not in a trial period sandbox thing and that was my point.

How does one "spam 10000-20000 links" ?

What exactly did you mean by that?

Bompa,
About the top 1000 i'v got your point but to be honest i never check more than top 100.
About the backlinks there are many ways and google knows it. Not by hand of course:)
