Adsense Gets a Font-Facelift

Yesterday Google added a feature for Adsense publishers that makes it possible to select the font used for Adsense ads.
Granted the font selection is rather tiny being limited to Arial, Times, and Verdana, but it is better than nothing.

The gist of it is that there's a new drop-down box when creating or managing ads where you can either select a specific font for that ad, or an account default which you can set in your preferences.

I'll let you guys check out Googles Adsense Blog for the specifics.

Hopefully this will get ads to stand out a little more. People seem to be getting very good at ignoring PPC ads :)

Cool feature!

People now have another reason to fill up forums with one more question "Which font gets more CTR" and the GURUs are going to get busy.

It will help in increasing the clicking of ads since most of the people will choose font which is similar to content of site so that the ads running on the site looks a part of it. Thus, it will increase the click rate of ads.

yes, indeed, the click rate will increase.

Anyway, I always asked myself why you can't choose your font when configuring your adsense ads, seems like google programmers had this problem solved.

You could now change the font to veranda. Good thing google brought this, we could now match it with our blog style, haha.
