Patience is the answer, backlinks can be acquired if you build links from time to time.

If the website you are wishing to promote is selling Real Estate, your best bet would be to do a Google search:

real estate directories
or
real estate directories add URL

You can customize the search criteria by including a specific Country or City.

Go through the search results and start requesting links. Any links you gather will not only be backlinks, they will be targeting your proper market.

:D It does take time and energy building and marketing your site but the results are well worth the effort.

Thanks for your help! Also, how do I get my sig to actually be a link? Or do I need a certain amount of posts for that to happen?

West Michigan Homes for Sale

You can use the example above (removing the spaces after the www.) I did this so it wouldn't work and you could see the actual html.

You need a lot of backlinks before Google shows any MSN is easier to get backlinks then Yahoo, Google generally shows less than the others although what is shown is not the real figure. Keep building relevant links and eventually Google will show some backlinks for your site. I think Google only updates link numbers about 3 or 4 times a year.

I have been submitting about 10 backlinks a day. Is this too many? A lot of times it takes weeks for me to know if I was even added. What do you recommend?

hi,

if you have lack of back links then try to submit your site in 20-30 directories per day for 15 days and then submit your site in 10-15 directories. if you have less no.of back links then increase your submission rate. Along with article directories try to participate in press releases.

Hi !

To increase the back links to your site, you should write & submit articles to the article sbmission sites on the daily basis. Simultaneously, you have to do some press release activities, it will increase your backlinks with a huge no. of traffic.

I would not recommend that. Getting 200+ links in just 15 days is going to raise some flags.
